Basic.ch since 1998

Basic.ch was created in 1998 by a bunch of djs from the label Mental Groove (Geneva, Switzerland) active in organizing parties and  attentive at the evolution of the web.  They were inspired by the Interface from London, the first radio online offering only mixes in direct, online since 1997.
Basic.ch started in march 1998, broadcasting lives almost every day and offering all the archives to listen online or download since its beginning.  It’s one of the first radio online of the world and the first one in Switzerland.

Last month basic.ch refresh its design and added some new features to its website.
The radio is offering you a huge choices of mixes from many styles (techno, electronic, house, drum&bass, dubstep, dub, reggae dancehall, latin, salsa,  brazilian, funk, groove, afrobeat, hip hop, old skool, etc and channels organized by music styles.

Most of the mixes are coming from djs and producers from the Geneva, from swiss scene but also from Berlin, New York. Some of the mixes are from internationally renowned djs of the electronic scene, residents at one time in Geneva or living there.
The ones that actually have a show are Green Giant , Sid, VKMP3 (Berlin), Lift (aka dj Fil), Skeik’n'beik (NYC) and coming soon Lee van Dowski, Dave the hustler,  Stikman, Daria, Ianeq, Postman, Blunt, Sir George,  records, Romainville, etc.
Luciano & Cadenza Records will have a few sessions in September!
You will be able to find them in the guests categories mixes from Miss Kittin, Luciano, Quenum, Dave the Husler, etc.

Basic.ch also broadcasts once in a while some lives sessions from
Andres Garcia, Tony Snake, Lagardere, Rosario (drum poete), Pol, …also from Weetamix, the famous club from Geneva and Mos Espa, a experimental and electronic music festival.

The archives from 2005 to the present can be played through your favorite player  and the ones from 1998 to 2004 (in realaudio) can be downloaded.
